You are wasting your time with the "I could have", "I should have", "I must have" Life is rather short. Use your time with the "I will" and enjoying the present.

Think about it, those verses must the basis for protecting pedophiles in the congregation. Jehovah ordered his people to preserve virgins (children) for themselves. JW's really adhere to the Bible. Take that you false religionists.

Never a jw If you think the Bible has never predicted anything I encourage you to read this...
A believer,
You are so naive. Let me try to do my own prophecies :
"In the year 2008 the son of the white and the black will become the most powerful king"
that's an accurate prophecy about Obama becoming president, using the author of the book of Daniel techniques. it's called vaticinum ex eventu. It's easy, even a kid can do it.
Also try this regarding failed prophecies/predictions. Use your Bible and confirm

Did you ever experience true kindness in the Org?
by HereIgo ini remember when i was about 17, i started shunning an older brother because he was disfellowshipped.
when i graduated high school, he pulled me aside and said " i know you are not supposed to talk to me, but i want you to have this" it was a gift that he had custom made for me.
i was so blown away, we never even had a real conversation before.

There's plenty of genuinely kind and generous JW's. My hero happens to be a woman of low means, die hard JW with a huge heart The rank and file are quite good people for the most part.

The Bible basically says Satan would mislead the Earth when he came here.
Let's rearrange that and chop unnecessary jargon... and fix bad grammar.
"The Bible misleads the Earth"
The Bible is a wonderful collection of books that allows us to look into the lives, customs, mores, myths, legends, and beliefs of people who lived long ago. It's very misleading to believe that it's a book to predict anything or a moral guide. Don't be a fool like thousands/millions of people in the past 2,000 years.

25 years ago I saw the last people with a semblance of zeal, even my own brother. He had multiple Bible studies and felt confident about the doctrines of his religions. Now, when I challenge his beliefs he responds saying that he is certain the he will not witness the end in his lifetime (he is 52) and when he explains why he likes his religions, he compares it to the membership in a gym. He pays his dues in exchange for access to the facility. He claims that he gets a network of friends with good morality. That's the practical approach that is becoming more prevalent as the die-hards idealists die out... Sad....actually, good... I don't know

The Book of Mormon
by dubstepped inmy wife and i went to see it today at the encouragement of some of our new friends.
we laughed until we cried, and it was so cathartic to sit in a room full of hundreds of people laughing at the ridiculousness of religion.
sure, the subject is mormonism, but it was very poignant and applicable to all religion.

My ex doesnt believe this and is now only allowing me to see my girl 1 day every 2 weeks!!
Whatever you are doing, you are not doing it right. I am sure they are a problem, but if you have allowed the current state of affairs to develop as you described above, then you have to look introspectively. Instead of posting here go get a lawyer and put your daughter's well being first. One day every two weeks!! Sheesh

Skepsis,
As my name (never a JW) suggests, I am an outsider who knows your religion quite well. My JW brother introduced me to my JW wife of 22 years. I have attended hundreds of meetings and dozens of conventions. Quite often hosted and still host large JW groups at my home. But I am an outsider nonetheless. My only advantage is that I have been out of cults my whole life and I am thankful for that. The world of "worldly" people is full of opportunities to do whatever you want, become very rich or be the most charitable man. Jump into it as soon as you can so you can experience freedom, real freedom.
